DTF Glossary
RGB
RGB is an additive colour model that describes colour with red, green, and blue components. It is a practical interchange space for artwork with transparency, but RGB numbers are not printer ink recipes. A profile and conversion path determine their meaning, while the RIP and device condition determine how printable inks reproduce them.
In practice
An RGBA file adds alpha opacity to RGB colour. Alpha can guide white generation, but it remains distinct from a named white spot plane.
NestSheet normalises supported uploads to a canonical RGBA working image before layout and Prep. Selected export rows can later write RGB or convert to supported CMYK output conditions.
