DTF Glossary
CMYK
CMYK is a subtractive colour model with cyan, magenta, yellow, and black process channels. The numbers are meaningful only within a colour-management and printing condition; the same CMYK values can render differently through another profile, RIP, ink set, media, or linearisation. CMYK channels do not automatically include a DTF white plane.
In practice
A separated DTF file may carry CMYK plus one or more additional white or varnish planes. Those extra planes are production separations, not a fifth or sixth process-colour component.
NestSheet can write selected CMYK output rows with bundled output profiles. It does not accept an arbitrary uploaded output profile, so use only the choices exposed by the current export row and validate the target RIP.
