Cookie Policy
NestSheet is predominantly an authenticated application, so cookies are kept to a minimum. We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in and the app working, a couple of preference cookies for UI state, and no third-party advertising or analytics cookies at all. This page lists what we set, why, and how to turn them off.
1. What are cookies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so
it can remember something between requests — for example, that
you're signed in. We also use localStorage for a few
things where a cookie isn't needed (such as your consent choice on
this banner); the same rules apply to both.
2. What we use
Essential (always on)
Required for the application to work. We rely on the "strictly necessary" exemption under EU ePrivacy rules, so consent is not required for these.

Preferences (opt-out anytime)
Not strictly required, but they make the app nicer to use. We treat these as based on your continued use of the app; you can clear them anytime from the consent banner or your browser.

Analytics
None at launch. We do not run Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, Mixpanel, Segment, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics or session-replay tool. Traffic patterns are derived from our own server logs. If we ever add first-party analytics, it will be listed here and gated on your consent before any cookie is set.
Advertising
None. We do not run ads and do not set advertising cookies.
3. Managing cookies
You can control cookies in two ways:
- Our consent banner. The first time you visit, a small banner lets you "Accept" or "Reject non-essential" cookies. You can change your choice anytime from the link at the bottom of this page.
- Your browser. Every browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and some features will stop working.
4. Third-party cookies
When you open the Paddle checkout (at the moment you start a paid subscription or update a card), Paddle's embedded iframe sets its own cookies under its own domain. These are necessary for secure payment processing and fraud prevention and are controlled by Paddle, not us. See Paddle's cookie notice at paddle.com/legal/cookie-policy .
We do not embed social-media widgets, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics on nestsheet.com. Some pages do link to external sites (Twitter, GitHub, Discord) — those are plain hyperlinks and don't load anything until you click.
5. Changes
If we add or change a cookie, we update this page and the "Last updated" date above. If a change adds a non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent again via the banner before setting it.
