Refund Policy
We aim to keep refunds simple. The short version: you get 14 days to try a paid plan with no questions asked, and a reasonable pro-rata on renewals if you act quickly and have not used much of the new period. Everything below is the detail.
1. Summary
- Free plan — never charged, nothing to refund.
- First paid charge — full refund within 14 days, no reason needed (EU consumer right of withdrawal).
- Automatic renewals — pro-rata refund within 7 days of renewal if you've used fewer than 100 exports on the new period.
- Downgrades — no refund of the difference; the new plan kicks in at the next renewal.
- Processing — Paddle (our Merchant of Record) returns funds to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
2. Free plan
The Free plan is never billed. There is nothing to refund. You can close a free account any time from settings.
3. 14-day EU right of withdrawal (first paid charge)
Under EU consumer-protection law, consumer customers in the EU and EEA have 14 days from the first paid charge to withdraw, no reason required. NestSheet applies this to all customers worldwide — not just EU — on their very first paid subscription with us.
To exercise this right, email [email protected] with the subject line "Withdrawal" within 14 days of the charge. Include your account email and Paddle receipt ID. We will instruct Paddle to issue a full refund of that charge. The 14-day window starts on the day of the charge, not on sign-up, and is independent of how much you used the service in that window.
Note: by starting to use paid features immediately (you tick the "start now" box at checkout, which is on by default), you expressly consent to the service beginning before the 14 days end. In some jurisdictions this can reduce the withdrawal amount by the value of the service already delivered; in practice, for a standard monthly subscription, we issue the full refund regardless.
4. Subsequent renewals
Automatic renewals after the first billing period are not covered by the 14-day right of withdrawal because the service is treated as continuous.
As a goodwill policy, we will still issue a pro-rata refund of a renewal charge if:
- You email us within 7 days of the renewal date, and
- You have used fewer than 100 exports on the renewed billing period.
Pro-rata is calculated as plan price × (days unused / billing period).
If those conditions are not met, the renewal is final, but we will
still stop future renewals immediately on request.
5. Annual → monthly downgrades
If you're on an annual plan and want to switch to monthly, the change takes effect at your next renewal. We do not refund the difference between annual and monthly prices for the remainder of the current term; you keep access to the annual-plan features until the term ends.
6. How to request a refund
- Email [email protected] from the address on your account.
- Include: the Paddle receipt ID or invoice number, the date of the charge, and a one-line reason (not required for the 14-day EU withdrawal, but helps us improve).
- We confirm receipt within one business day. If approved, we trigger the refund through Paddle the same day.
7. Refund timeline
Paddle returns funds to the original payment method. Timelines are controlled by the card network or payment provider, not by us:
- Cards — typically 5–10 business days.
- PayPal — typically 1–3 business days.
- Bank transfers, local methods — up to 14 business days.
If the refund hasn't appeared after the timeline above, let us know and we'll trace it with Paddle.
8. Chargebacks & disputes
If something has gone wrong — unrecognised charge, missing refund, billing surprise — please email us first. We can almost always fix it faster than a chargeback, and a chargeback typically gets the account suspended automatically while it's investigated.
If you still need to file a chargeback or dispute with your card issuer, you have the right to do so. We will cooperate in good faith with Paddle and your bank.
9. Contact
Refund requests and billing questions: [email protected]. Payment processor: Paddle.com Market Limited (our Merchant of Record); billing receipts come from Paddle and invoices are available in your account under Settings → Billing.
